Coaching

Coaching: an authentic conversation with purpose

I adopt an approach based on the principles of transformational coaching, which considers the client as a whole, leading to tangible outcomes and sustainable, lasting, changes. Every coaching experience is individually crafted and relevant to the client’s circumstances and objectives to ensure the personal growth of the individual.

When coaching within an organisational context, the personal growth of the individual is aligned with business objectives and priorities.

Coaching

Those being coached will experience:

  • A pragmatic approach, helping to find and develop sustainable solutions
  • Enjoyable, thought provoking, rewarding and transformational coaching sessions
  • An open and transparent contracting process with agreed, clear coaching goals and measures of success
  • Confidential space to think, reflect and grow

As a coach I will be:

  • Actively and authentically listening, open and non-judgemental
  • Curious and inquisitive
  • Blending mentoring skills if required
  • Challenging and encouraging
  • Clear, simple and discrete

Some areas I have helped clients with include:

  • Finding balance to thrive in the face of the complexity of organisations and business pressures
  • Transitioning to new role and unsure how to evolve whilst remaining authentic
  • Understanding and managing the loneliness of leadership
  • Inexperienced or overwhelmed in some aspect of their role
  • Navigating critical relationships eg leader, team members, clients
  • Recognised as being successful but not sure how they got there
  • Finding clarity on what they want in the next stage of their life/career and plan to achieve it
  • Making a shift from manager to leader
  • Developing influencing skills and mindset
  • Designing and implementing required business change then managing the impact
  • How to hold effective difficult conversations
“Our discussions would go beyond the confines of work to explore unconscious forces within myself, making me aware of previously unknown connections. I would heartily recommend working with Mark if you would like a deeper understanding of yourself in a way that helps you grow as an executive and a become a more effective leader.”
